Synopsis
Womb is a graceful and reflective film which unfolds within a not too distant future. It begins with Rebecca reconnecting with her childhood friend Tommy after many years. Their friendship develops and blossoms as they become closer. Their happiness is only short-lived as they have to say goodbye to each other as a result of Tommy’s untimely demise.
The attentive reader grows with Rebecca as she mourns her loss and decides to exercise her ability to resurrect the dead. Guided by maternal instincts and affection, she brings up a child as a result of advanced genetic manipulation in a tranquil house located by the sea.

Womb is an emotionally charged film with an interesting approach to shape and structure. People seem to appreciate Eva Green’s acting, in addition to the calm and daydream-like film. The pace of the film is slow, but it allows for contemplation of the layers and motives driving the characters. The film is not for everyone. It sometimes has puzzling elements, but the calming allure and emotional integrity makes the film stand out.
